About Dr. Emma Goulart DACM
Emma was raised by one parent as a Primary Care Physician and the other as an Acupuncturist and Family Nurse Practitioner. Because of the health benefits she received from this East-West balance, she learned from an early age that these two forms of medicine can work synergistically in order to achieve incredible health benefits.
A Licensed Acupuncturist in the state of Colorado, Emma finished her Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine (DACM) in 2021 and holds a Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from 2014. Combined, she has completed over 4,000 hours of education from Pacific College of Health and Science and Southwest Acupuncture College. Emma is nationally certified as a Diplomat in Oriental Medicine by the National Certification Commission of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM).
Because of her own personal journey with gut health, Emma has always put special attention to supporting patients digestive health. In 2022 she decided to finally take this a step further by begining a certification course to become a functional medicine provider which she completed in 2023. While the pillars of Chinese medicine are at the forefront of her care, she is thrilled to gain insight into the body with functional labs.
In addition to Chinese Medicine Emma has prior experience working as a Doula to support moms and families during their birthing experience. She is also a certified yoga teacher and a certified meditation instructor.
